Pirojsha Godrej is the Executive Chairperson of Godrej Properties, Godrej Housing Finance and a Non-Executive Director at Godrej Consumer Products and Godrej Agrovet. Pirojsha graduated from the Wharton School of Business in 2002, completed his Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University in 2004, and an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2008. Pirojsha joined GPL in 2004, became an Executive Director in 2008, and was appointed CEO of Godrej Properties in 2012. He has led the company through a phase of rapid growth. In Financial Year 2016, Godrej Properties for the first time became India's #1 publicly listed real estate developer by residential sales, a position it has retained for the past 5 years. Under Pirojsha’s leadership, Godrej Properties has been at the forefront of the sustainable development movement; in 2013, GPL received an award from former President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam for being one of the companies in India from across sectors to have driven the green building movement. In 2020, Godrej Properties ranked #1 amongst listed residential developers across the world in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark, an organization committed to rigorous and independent evaluation of the sustainability performance of real assets across the globe. The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) has awarded Pirojsha the IGBC Green Champion Award 2016 for his contribution to the sustainability of India's built environment.

Mr. Gaurav Pandey has over 17 years of experience in the real estate sector. He is passionate about the sector and believes in its potential to become a key growth driver for the Indian economy.

As the CEO of the North Zone, Mr. Gaurav transformed the P&L of the business and built a high- performing team. The North Zone is now the fastest growing and most profitable zone at GPL, backed by strong business development, strategy, sales and execution excellence. In the five years of his leadership, the zone grew by 6X in Booking Value, 4X in Collections, and imputed ROCE increased very significantly to 27%. In fiscal year 2022, PAT for the North Zone was the largest contributor to GPL’s P&L.

Before joining Godrej, Mr. Gaurav was the CEO of Burman GSC, the joint real estate platform of the Burman family and Golden State Capital. He has also worked as the Senior Vice President and Head of Research and consulting for India’s largest real estate research firm, PropEquity, and advised private equity funds, mutual funds, foreign institutional investors, developers, NBFCs, and banks on real estate investments in India. He has also co-anchored The Property Show on NDTV. Before this, Gaurav was part of the Management Committee of Ascendas India. He is an Economics Honours graduate from the University of Delhi and has completed a postgraduate course from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode. He is part of the Management Committee of GPL and serves on the Real Estate Committee of FICCI. Gaurav was recognised as the ‘Realty Personality of the Year’ by the Economic Times at the 2022 Real Estate Conclave & Awards (North).

Mr. Nadir B. Godrej is the Managing Director of Godrej Industries Ltd. & Chairman of Godrej Agrovet Ltd. Mr. Godrej has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School

He has been the Director of several Godrej companies since 1977 and has developed the animal feed, agricultural inputs and chemicals businesses of Godrej Industries and other associate companies, while also playing an active role in research.

Mr. Godrej’s other, non-work commitments include: President of The Alliance Francaise De Bombay, CII National Council, Member,  Past Chairman of CII National Committee on Chemicals – Past Independent Director of Indian Hotels Company Limited and Mahindra & Mahindra Limited. He is a member of the South Asia Research Centre Advisory Board of Harvard Business School.

Mr. Godrej has been awarded the Chevalier de Legion d'Honneur, Globoil Life Time Achievement Award – 2012, OTAI Life Time Achievement Award – 2012, Chemtech CEW Leadership & Excellence Award -2013, and Chemexcil Life Time Achievement Award – 2013.  He also received the Porter Prize 2013 for Creating Shared Value awarded to Godrej Industries Ltd. Mr. Godrej recently received the prestigious CHEMTECH Leadership & Excellence Award 2017 - Hall of Fame

Also, the Board of Management of Manav Rachna University has unanimously conferred Mr. Godrej with an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Philosophy.  Mr. Godrej was also presented the award for Business Excellence at the IBG function on  31st January 2018.

Nadir Godrej

Ms. Sutapa Banerjee has spent 24 years in the financial services industry across two large multinational banks (ANZ Grindlays and ABN AMRO), and a boutique Indian Investment bank (Ambit) where she built and headed several businesses. A well-recognized thought leader in the Wealth Management space having led and successfully built Private Wealth businesses in both ABN AMRO Bank and Ambit Capital from scratch, Ms. Sutapa was voted as one of the ‘Top 20 Global Rising Stars of Wealth Management’ by the Institutional Investor Group in 2007 - the only Indian and one of only two winners from Asia. As the CEO, she led Ambit Private Wealth to ‘Best Private Bank in India in the 2013 AsiaMoney polls. In 2012, she was shortlisted in the ’50 Most Powerful Women’ list by Fortune India.

Currently, she serves as Independent Director on the boards of several companies in the JSW Group, Konecranes India, Women’s World Banking Group, Axis Capital, Mannapuram Finance, Oxfam, and Niyogin Fintech. She is also a visiting faculty at IIM Ahmedabad, co-creating and co-teaching elective and cognitive biases in decision-making and its impact on corporate practices with a focus on gender- a first for any business school. Ms. Sutapa is also an adjunct faculty with IICA – the Government think tank under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. In addition, she works as a Decision Coach for senior leadership talent and consults in the Wealth and Investments area for the Gerson Lehrman Group.

Ms. Sutapa is an Advanced Leadership Fellow (2015) at Harvard University. Her area of study in which she teaches, consults, trains, writes and speaks both internationally and in India is on cognitive errors and biases in decision-making and the use of data analytics and design interventions to mitigate its impact. Ms. Sutapa is a gold medalist in Economics from the XLRI School of Management in India, and an Economics honours graduate from Presidency College Kolkata. A member of the CII National Committee on Integrity and Transparency in Governance, CII National Committee on Women’s Empowerment and the Indian Women Network, she also serves on the Advisory Panel of the ‘India Responsible Business Forum’.

Sutapa Banerjee

Dr. Bhushan has a career spanning almost 40 years across a multitude of sectors. He served for nine years in the IAS before leaving government service. After that, he worked as a Senior Economist with the World Bank Group before moving to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 1997.

Dr. Bhushan has two daughters, Devika and Ambika—both are doctors. He lives in an empty nest in New Delhi with his wife Anjana who works with the World Health Organisation. Dr. Bhushan loves to play golf and bridge in his spare time. He is an avid traveler, having visited more than 80 countries. 

He served as Director General, East Asia Department of ADB. He has held multiple positions within ADB including Director General, Strategy and Policy Department and has led ADB’s engagement with several Asian economies including the People’s Republic of China. He provided oversight to sectors like energy, environment, natural resources and agriculture, transport, public management, financial and regional cooperation and urban and social development.

In 2018, Dr. Indu Bhushan was appointed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB - PMJAY), a flagship health assurance scheme of the Government of India covering more than 500 million citizens. As the founding CEO, he led the design, development and the rollout of the scheme and oversaw its implementation in the country. He also initiated the implementation of the ambitious National Digital Health Mission (later renamed Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission).

Ms. Jayashree Vaidhyanathan is currently the Chief Executive Officer of BCT Digital, a global Fintech, Regtech and Cleantech company. She serves as an independent director on the Global Board of PwC and is one of the two independent directors on the PwC India Board. She also serves as the Independent Director on the board of UTI Asset Management Company and Indigrid.

Ms. Jayashree Vaidhyanathan is a highly accomplished professional with numerous accolades, including multiple Stevie Awards, a Lifetime Achievement Award, and recognition as Global Indian of the year 2021-2022 by AsiaOne Magazine. She has also been honored as India’s Inspirational Leader 2022 by WCRC, named one of the Top 50 Women Leaders in Technology 2022 by Women We Admire, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022 from the World HRD Congress. Additionally, she has been awarded the Tech Leadership Award in 2020 by Fintech Futures, recognized as one of the Top 10 Most Influential Women in Technology in 2020 by Analyst Insights, and named India’s Most Trusted CEO in 2020 by WCRC. Ms. Vaidhyanathan was also listed among Fortune’s Most Inspiring Women in 2021.

Ms. Vaidhyanathan holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Finance and Strategy from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science from Madras University, India. She is also a CFA Charter Holder.

Mr. Sumeet Narang is the Founder of Samara Capital, an India-focused investment firm with a strong emphasis on growth buyouts. Before founding Samara Capital in late 2006, Sumeet briefly worked at Goldman Sachs, New York, in their Principal Investments Group. From 2001-04, he worked with Citigroup India across various functions based out of Delhi and Hyderabad. He has also worked with the Fiat Group in Italy and India. Sumeet earned a Master's in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar and received John Loeb Fellow award. He also holds a post graduate diploma in management (major in finance) from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, where he was an Aditya Birla Scholar, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

Samara Capital has a strong focus in the consumer space and Sumeet has had the opportunity to evaluate and invest in multiple companies in the sector across different segments such as retail (including food and grocery retail), quick service restaurants, branded apparel, personal and beauty care, etc. Sumeet sits on the boards of many of these companies and has actively contributed in their growth journeys, some of which have now become market-leading companies in their respective segments.
